
So simple, so easy, so delicious!
Last year, I made this and poms and pers all persimmon season long. This year, I'm not into persimmons as much as usual, but I had to grab some at the Farmer's Market before the season is over.
If you think of persimmons as being a pucker fruit, don't be discouraged. You may have experienced an unripe one or a Hachiya variety.
Fuyu persimmons can be enjoyed while still firm, but the Hachiya must be soft and mushy like to avoid the dreaded pucker.
1 large cucumber, peeled and sliced
2 Fuyu persimmons, peeled and sliced
3 oranges, outside cut off and chopped
cracked black pepper and sea salt to taste
